The smart grid-enabled analysers optionally support a telecontrol protocol according to IEC 60870-5-104. The so-called 104 protocol is one of the most common and manufacturer-independent communication protocols to provide periodic data as well as events for the monitoring SCADA system in modern utility applications. communication protocols to provide periodic data as well as events for the monitoring SCADA system in modern utility and industrial applications. This protocol uses Ethernet and TCP/IP for communication and requires only a simple configuration of the trigger criteria for the basic variables to be served by this protocol. Each value can be independently configured to be sent periodically with a delta criterion or as a result of an event. For more complex functionality, our flexible I/O management can also be used or even extended to implement even more sophisticated requirements. Standard data types and options are supported. Each instrument can also work with an RTU unit to implement other common smart grid and smart metering communication protocols such as DLMS and IEC 61850. For IT infrastructure management and specifically for monitoring the energy of the IoT and the building or data centre, the SNMP and MQTT protocols are used.
